What is Classic Bicicletta's late/no-show and cancelLation policy?

Please show up 10 minutes before your class begins. Your bike will be released at the class start time if you fail to show. If you are running late and you call the studio, we will hold your bike up to 5 minutes into the class start time. If you do not call, we will release your bike at the start of class. • Be sure to arrive 15-20 Min early to get acquainted with your surroundings and set up properly.
  • It is always best to reserve a bike online. Drop-in visits without prior online reservation are not guaranteed a spot in class. Reserve your bike here.
  • If you have boxing gloves and hand wraps, please bring them.  Otherwise, we will supply them for only your initial class.
  • Last minute arrival means no time to set up and enjoy the ride.
  • Late entry is not granted at start time.
  • Don’t worry you don’t need cycling shoes. Our Schwinn bikes accommodate both athletic sneakers and mountain bike shoes.
  • Let your instructor know you’re new so they can set you up and explain the ride.

What should I bring to class?

Students are required to bring a large towel. Towels are used to keep the facilities as clean as possible for everyone (e.g. while using mats.) Wear comfortable workout clothing and athletic sneakers (or mountain bike shoes).

If you forget your hand wraps and boxing gloves, they are available to rent: students must pay rental fees if they use Classic Bicicletta's boxing gloves or hand wraps. If you prefer having your own gear, hand wraps and boxing gloves are also available for purchase.

Please do not track dirt into the studio by wearing inappropriate footwear (e.g. hiking boots.)

I’ve never taken a Cycling class before. What should I expect?

Every class is a little different, but one of the great things about the Cycling program is that it is adaptable to your fitness level. Remember, this is not a competition, listen to your body and adjust the resistance on your bike accordingly. If you’re a first-timer let your instructor know. He or she can make sure your bike is properly adjusted.

Do I have to be in great shape to participate in a Cycling class?

Anyone can benefit from the Cycling program as you can go at your own pace by controlling the resistance on your Schwinn AC Performance Plus With Carbon Blue® bike. Taking Cycling classes is a great way to get fit and stay fit.

What benefits can I expect to get while Cycling at Classic Bicicletta?

Joint Health: Cycling is a high intensity and low impact workout. The circular motion of the cycling eliminates pounding on joints and lower back. It is a great way to get in shape without damaging your body.

All levels of fitness are welcomed. Regardless of how fit, flexible or coordinated you are, you’ll get a great workout. Simply hop on your bike; set the resistance to the level that’s right for you, and let your instructor guide you through an incredible ride. We also will offer combinations of boxing-cycling and strength-cycling classes.

What is the minimum age for a Cycling class participant?

The minimum age to attend cycling classes is 14 years old (no exceptions). Teens under the age of 18 are required to bring a Classic Bicicletta Release Form signed by a parent or a legal guardian. This form can also be signed in the studio before class if you prefer.

Size: Proper bike fit is very important for injury prevention. Participants need to be big enough to get their proper seat height and fore/aft adjustments. Generally speaking, Cycle bikes should fit people who are at least 4′ 11″. But this is not an exact minimum height because leg and torso length are also the determining factors.

Can I forgo wearing hand wraps and/or boxing gloves during class?

No. Lack of hand wraps and/or boxing gloves greatly increases your chances of getting injured during the boxing portion of the class. Your hands must be wrapped prior to class to ensure a smooth transition from cycling to boxing. No one is allowed to take class without the proper gear as it will limit your experience. If you don't know how to wrap your hands, please try coming in about 15-20 minutes before class to give our staff enough time to get you set up for class.
