What benefits can I expect to get while Cycling at Classic Bicicletta?
Joint Health: Cycling is a high intensity and low impact workout. The circular motion of the cycling eliminates pounding on joints and lower back. It is a great way to get in shape without damaging your body.
All levels of fitness are welcomed. Regardless of how fit, flexible or coordinated you are, you’ll get a great workout. Simply hop on your bike; set the resistance to the level that’s right for you, and let your instructor guide you through an incredible ride. We also will offer combinations of boxing-cycling and strength-cycling classes.
What is the minimum age for a Cycling class participant?
The minimum age to attend cycling classes is 14 years old (no exceptions). Teens under the age of 18 are required to bring a Classic Bicicletta Release Form signed by a parent or a legal guardian. This form can also be signed in the studio before class if you prefer.
Size: Proper bike fit is very important for injury prevention. Participants need to be big enough to get their proper seat height and fore/aft adjustments. Generally speaking, Cycle bikes should fit people who are at least 4′ 11″. But this is not an exact minimum height because leg and torso length are also the determining factors.
Can I forgo wearing hand wraps and/or boxing gloves during class?
No. Lack of hand wraps and/or boxing gloves greatly increases your chances of getting injured during the boxing portion of the class. Your hands must be wrapped prior to class to ensure a smooth transition from cycling to boxing. No one is allowed to take class without the proper gear as it will limit your experience. If you don't know how to wrap your hands, please try coming in about 15-20 minutes before class to give our staff enough time to get you set up for class.
